MODULE FIVE

WHAT'S WAITING FOR YOU INSIDE

Meet your new editing assistant, AI! 👋

This is NOT about generating entire images from scratch. It's about using AI to replace the tedious work that you used to have to do all by yourself, either in the editing bay or on-set.

Yep, innovations in AI editing technology have even allowed for you to reach back in time to make changes that used to be tied to your shooting environment + gear, like adding and shaping the directionality of fill lights, changing the focus to create a shallow depth of field, or shaping shadow overlays like a window frame or dappled light cast onto the subject.

Now, all of this can be done in less than a minute with a few clicks of a button! 🪄

So, what it does this mean? AI tools are able to replace much of the tedious editing work you used to have to do by hand. And opening doors to edits we NEVER thought possible, like actually ADDING light sources in post instead of moving around clunky (and also super expensive) artificial lights.

You’ll learn to harness incredible new AI-based photography tools to re-light your images, shift the depth of field to add a dreamy softness to your captures, expand the edges of frame, edit your photos in your personal style in mere seconds, and SO much more!

And you’ll learn alllll about classic editing techniques in this course, that Linda and I have carefully crafted from our combined 30+ years of experience as photographers + editors.

This isn't your standard editing course. Get ready to actually start (gulp) loving (??) AI!

Lifetime Access

When you join, you won't be beholden to an arbitrary cut-off date. And you won't be asked to pay some additional fee to extend access. We know that it takes time + practice for technical stuff to set in, and we want you to be able to reference the tutorials as many times as you want, whenever you want. Whether that's months, seasons, or years from now, you can count on this course to be there for you!

Hey there! I’m Eva, and I learned photography on a film camera dark room-style when I was 15 (which was a loooong time ago). I have a Saveur-nominated food blog, Adventures in Cooking, and have written + shot two cookbooks, Adventures in Chicken and First We Eat, which was nominated by IACP for 2019's best cookbook. I've also shot the Wicked Healthy cookbook and Everyone's Table cookbook and am currently shooting Gregory Gourdet's next cookbook project!

I’ve shot for clients as big as 7-Up, and as small as local restaurants. I’ve done takeovers on the @Instagram main feed, my work’s been featured in dozens of magazines + publications, and I work full-time doing what I love—photography and teaching.

I've taught thousands of students, both online and in-person, and hosted hundreds of hours of photography + styling workshops all over the world. Nothing makes me happier than seeing a familiar face as students from my entry-level workshops regularly come back for my advanced level ones :)

Say hello to your instructors! 👋

'23 Lightroom Ambassador + 5x Cookbook Photographer

I'm a photographer and stylist based in the south of Sweden. I write the blog Call me Cupcake and I’m an author of four cookbooks which have been published in several languages, and have shot three other cookbooks for other authors.

I needed pictures to run my blog of course. After studying photography in high school, I had a camera that I barely used. I simply didn’t know what to take pictures of! So when I started baking, I also started taking pictures of my baked goods. And it turned out to be a pretty great combination for me. Everything else is history!

Should I go Step-By-Step or Can I Jump Around?

Each module is broken up into MANY bite-sized video tutorials to make it easy to hop to the editing tool you want to learn or brush up on. Want to focus on Tone Curve + Color Curves? We got a tutorial on that. Want to hone your masking skills? We got you covered! We made this program as specific as possible to make it easy for you to find the resources you need.

Whether you want to go step-by-step from beginning to end, or jump around to different tutorials, you’ll come away with a WHOLE lot of new skills + techniques for making every edit a showstopper.

I've taken Eva's Photography Course before, is this the same Lightroom tutorial?

Nope! This is brand new content. There's 3x more Lightroom tutorials (measured in hours) in this course, offering an even *deeper* dive into all the incredible tools available within this program, and how you can use it to suit your workflow + customize the program to your specific needs.

And where the photography course focuses solely on Lightroom, this course *also* includes tons of editing tools in other programs, like Camera RAW, Photoshop, Luminar Neo, and Imagen AI. Get ready to make your edits a whole lot faster + easier!

I'm an existing student of Eva's, can I use my exclusive student discount?

Yes! Just log into your course and use the discount code provided in the sidebar of the actual course. You will need to go into the course itself, the sidebar will not display in the "Library" area, FYI :) You can enter the code at checkout + dive into the editing goodness right away!

What editing programs do I need for the course?

The programs covered in the course are Adobe Lightroom Classic, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Camera RAW, Luminar Neo, and Imagen AI.

All of them offer free trial periods for varying from a week to 30 days, and we'd highly recommend taking advantage of that to play around with editing and see what you like about each program.

If you're just starting with editing, diving into Lightroom and/or Camera RAW is a great place to begin until you feel comfortable editing in those programs.

Ingrid Johnson of @onwardranching

"I can honestly say that taking courses from Eva was just so lovely. I have taken courses with two other online mentors. One only answered 4-5 questions that were put into messages and mostly chatted with her assistant during the Q & A….. filling time…You couldn’t ask any live questions, it was horrible, I left the call feeling taken for the course. Eva has been the opposite — *really* taking the time to thoroughly answer questions and not rush everyone---and help people at whatever level of expertise they are at. She meets you where you are so sincerely!"

"Taking one of Eva's courses was a major turning point in building my own successful career as an artist."

Brianna Danner of @dirtywhisk + BriannaDanner.com

"Taking one of Eva's courses was a major turning point in building my own successful career as an artist. She explained technicalities in an approachable way and then how to apply those elements in a real life way to my work. Afterwards I was able to not only consistently produce quality images, but use that knowledge to shape my own personal style. I wasn't a beginner by any means coming into her course, but her teaching style made things 'click' in a way they never had previously. I would recommend her as an instructor to anyone looking to further their skills and confidence as a creator."

"Often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one that has been opened for us"

Ready? let's take a leap!

I had a very long and winding road to the creative life, which included working at NBCUniversal (the highlight of which was when Jason Bateman ate a cake I baked (!) ), picking up my first camera (dark room-style) 18 years ago, and shooting for clients + teaching students for 15+ years.

Believe it or not, Linda and I both started our food blogs way back in 2009. Nope, we are not dinosaurs — but we do have a *LOT* of experience when it comes to editing, and we want to shave valuable time off your learning curve.

30+ years of combined practice means we've solved 30+ years of editing problems and have put all those skills, knowledge, and troubleshooting advice into this course. Let's give your voice the freedom + know-how to create anything you can possibly imagine. This is YOUR time, my friend. We can't wait to see you inside!
